Biography
Kayano who was born in 1971 and grew up. While feeling the love of art passed down passed down by her grandfather, she painted with her father from the time she was a child. Her artworks’ style at exhibitions and show her changing. It has turned into a multi-colored world from a black and white world. The first exhibition was mainly hand-painted pictures. Her current style is scanning the ones drawn in pastel and acrylic gouache, and doing a digital fusion finish in Photoshop. It has become a kind of style in the textile designing. Early day production was a means for expressing her inner self, gradually her works started providing warm feelings to the people around it. Presently Kayano thinks that she has met a good partner for life and it has had an impact on art work. Kayano will continue to create the artwork that give people warm happy feelings.

Kayano Ushiyama is a Japanese painter whose works have been extensively exhibited nationally, as well as in France and the United States. Her brightly colored pieces exude happiness and warmth, aligning with her goal to bring happiness to the world through her art. Ushiyama's compositions are created using acrylics, gouache, pastels, transparent watercolors, and other materials, which she digitizes then prints, adding more acrylics and gouache.
What made you decide to become an artist?
It was natural because I was a kid who drew pictures while feeling that my grandfather was a painter with DNA.
What kind of artist do you think you are in the end?
I want to be an artist who spreads Happy to the world through my works.
What do you want to convey to your viewers through your work?
I hope I can convey warm feelings and Happy.
Can you explain the process of creating your work?
I take things drawn with acrylic gouache or pastel into my computer, add them with an app called Photohop, and then modify the printed things with acrylic gouache.
What is your favorite part of the creative process?
After all, it is the moment when the work was created.
What are your insights into your current projects and inspirations, or what you can expect in the near future?
I draw inspiration from the energy and particles received from nature and the glitter of the universe. I hope that the work will spread happiness.
