Biography

Deep feelings and analyzes about the universe have always been of interest. Likewise mystery and the meaning of life. Since childhood, art has inspired me and brought me into harmony, but the stressful everyday life while growing up has occupied my attention. Time has passed and the neglected talent emerged one day when I was in the darkest stages of life. I began to realize the impact art had on me and the calm that grew within me after my first painting. It had an enormous healing effect on the soul. Being able to express deep non-communicative feelings through art is a satisfaction. To discover that you can expose yourself through your art and at the same time be secretive is indescribable. From that day on, my real artistic journey began. The year was 2019.

What first prompted you to think of becoming an artist?

I grew up with an uncle who is an artist. I have always admired how nicely he paints. A few times he taught me the different techniques. As a kid, I used to love painting and all my friends at school admired how nicely I painted. But stressful life has come between me and this talent. In 2017/2018, I went through the biggest crisis of my life and reached the bottom. On the way up from the crisis and the unhappiness, I was reminded of my buried talent. In 2019, I bought my first canvas and started testing myself. I wanted to discover my identity as an artist. Since that day, I couldn't ignore art anymore. I continued my journey and along the way, I received only positive things from art. My journey is just beginning. There are enormous emotions and experiences I want to convey through art.

What kind of an artist do you ultimately see yourself?

I mix reality and fantasy. So my paintings are abstract from the beginning but during the work, I begin to see figures, faces and other shapes that appear in the artworks.

What are you hoping to communicate to the viewer through your work?

I want to communicate what can´t be communicated in words. The deep feelings that exist within each one of us and that we can't describe. I want to convey the secrets that exist in our unconscious that we don't always know to exist. I want every spectator to be able to interpret and see things in my paintings that no one else can see. The painting must have different perspectives and must be seen in different ways. I want to convey different feelings, joy, sorrow, anger, empathy, etc. I always paint when my feelings are strongest and try to put my whole soul in my artworks.

Can you explain the process of creating your work?

Starting to paint an artwork usually begins spontaneously. I can suddenly get an idea or a feeling that I want to get down on paper. After that, the process only depends on which artwork it is. Some artworks have taken me a few hours to paint, others can take days and up to a week. I usually only plan colors and size, but the result appears during the process.

What is your favourite part of the creative process?

My favourite part of the process is when I start to see something appears in the artwork. Then it feels like I have won a million. I get endorphins all over my body and feel that I'm in my own world where everything around me becomes blurred and where I can put all the stressful moments and feelings behind me. Finally, I love the last step and the result. When I finally add the last details and touches. When I get filled with pride when I stand and admire my powerful work.

Can you give us an insight into current projects and inspiration, or what we can look forward to from you in the near future?

I´m planning a different project that is not so usual for my artworks. I cannot reveal what kind of project it is. It's A surprise! My next exhibition will be in Monaco, an International contemporary art fair. I'm really looking forward to that day and hoping that some doors will open for me and my art. My biggest goal is to reach out to so many art lovers and spectators as possible.
