Cordelia Doll

Biography

Cordelia Doll was born in Merseburg. She grew up in traditionally creative surroundings in Westphalia and developed her artistic abilities by attending courses and education in various painting techniques at several art academies. Early painting trips took her to Austria, Italy and Southern France. At first she interrupted her artistic work for professional reasons. After having worked as a dental technician and acting manager of a dental laboratory Cordelia Doll has set completely on painting since 2001. Presently, she acts as a freelance artist in Iserlohn, Germany.

Artist Statement

Cordelia Doll`s pictures speak through a rich spectre of colourfulness to the optical senses and initiate a playful dialogue with the beholder. The harmonious colour compositions create an athmosphere of attractivity and pleasant comfort. The colourful aesthetics are further accentuated by an extraordinary and creative application of pastes, gels and other materials as bases, which markedly increase the plasticity of colourization. These procedures bestow a high degree of liveliness and attractivity upon the images.
