Biography

Sampy Sicada is a fine artist from Hong Kong and the UK. He has worked in illustration, graphic design, video editing and photography. His works have been exhibited in galleries internationally including the 2021 London Art Biennale most notably.

Artist Statement

Sampy Sicada is a Manchester-based artist and designer from Hong Kong. He mainly practices art in a traditional medium such as graphite, color pencils, and oil paints. The themes depicted in his work range from being grounded in real-world ideas to the abstract and theoretical. His main interest is exploring social constructions through the use of objects and the human form.
