Silvia Strobos

Biography

Silvia Strobos is a dutch artist who lives and works in Switzerland since 1998. After attending the higher school for design and communication, she got her master's degree in history of arts and science at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
In Switzerland, she deepened her skills in art in a more practical way and intensively took art classes with different teachers for years.
Since 2012 her work has been exhibited in several galleries and shown at big international art fairs like the affordable art fairs in Hamburg, Brussels, Amsterdam and Stockholm, the Art International Zürich, Art Nocturne Knocke, ArtMuc Munich, INC Hamburg and the Art Karlsruhe.
Her work is represented by galleries in Zürich, Munich, Konstanz and Amsterdam.

Artist Statement

The main theme of her work encounters, she shows the different ways in which people are connected with each other.
Her paintings are full but structured at the same time, it is as if she tries to organ human interaction.
Her clear message is that in a world of algorithms, hashtags and followers we shouldn’t forget how important real human interaction is!
