Artist Statement

Painting is my way to express what I feel, it is my relationship to what surrounds me, it is how I show my joy of existing, of being. I am a visual artist who fits with my work between the concrete of a certain lyricism and the unreal of an abstract expressionistic manner. Colors and shapes of Nature as well as my own imagination, sensations, and feelings are the sources of inspiration in my work. Color prevails for its strong symbolism, and I use it to communicate my emotion and mood. Owing to the composed chromatic scale, I develop a color symphony that foretells my sensations and emotions reflected by overlapping brushstrokes. My intention is to convey the viewer to a relaxed and contemplative state, to induce sensations similar to those I go through in the act of creation.

What first prompted you to think of becoming an artist?

I was born in a family where beauty and harmony were of paramount importance, they always My grandmother made beautiful handicrafts out of colored thread, yarn, and string. My father carved in wood and my mother cut and sewed materials creating beautiful clothes. So,  my dream, as a little child, was to become a creator of beauty.

What kind of an artist do you ultimately see yourself?

I think I am an artist who manages to transform into art, a piece of my own soul, a piece of my own thoughts and feelings, a part of the surrounding beauties.

What are you hoping to communicate to the viewer through your work?

Through my work, I want to communicate my feelings, thoughts, and emotions, to contribute to the beautification of the environment and life.

Can you explain the process of creating your work?

What is your favorite part of the creative process?

Every creation of mine is a part of me, "from conception to birth", and every moment of creation gives me full satisfaction

Can you give us an insight into current projects and inspiration, or what we can look forward to from you in the near future?

I still want to be a creative person, able to produce beauty through a stroke of the brush, of the pencil, to transform my feelings, my daily life into beauty and harmony.
