Artist Statement

Throughout my life, images have formed in my head every time a situation has arisen, it could be comical, double-minded, tragic, or the like, but I could not get these images out of my head and down on a piece of paper or on canvas. Finally, it feels like my head was bursting with images, so to get them out of my head, I began to picture and art school in 2001, and ever since I have not been able to stop making art
The first works of art I created were on paper, but soon after I started painting with acrylic, then I also painted with oil.
This was not enough for me, so therefore in 2016, I started learning to design and use a 3D printer to make sculptures, this way I have got a bigger platform to express myself.

What first made you think of becoming an artist?

That I have become an artist today is not a thought that has suddenly arisen. Ever since I was a kid, my head has always been filled with pictures. I always wanted to take these pictures out of my head and transfer them to a piece of paper or making sculptures, but I did not know how it could be done. It was only then that it felt like my head was about to explode in pictures that I thought, now it's time I learned some tips and tricks so I could get the pictures out of my head and created a sculpture or painting. Ever since I have created one work of art after another and as long as images pop up in my head, I will continue to create art

What kind of artist do you ultimately see yourself in?

I hope I am an artist who creates works of art that set people's own imagination in motion when they look at my works

What are you hoping to communicate to the viewer through your work?

Most of the works of art that I have created so far, has been created based on what was happening in my immediate community and what has happened in the world. What gets my attention is magnified and I start creating a work of art, on the subject that I want to focus on, whether the subject is serious, ironic or sad etc. If the viewer looks at a painting or sculpture that I have made, and it sets some thoughts in motion in them, it does not necessarily have to be the same thoughts that I have made myself, but thoughts that come from their own life experiences.
