 Artist Statement

“To paint without rules, to paint how you feel” I love to experiment with different combinations of colors. Bright colors giving me freedom. Painting on border of reality and abstraction showing in one time my feelings and inspiration.  With expressive brushstrokes, I try to show movement, depth and life in my artworks. I like to choose floral subjects because flowers make me always happy”.

What first prompted you to think of becoming an artist?

When I was a child I studied violin. During breaks, I always left to look at the paintings on the other floor of the children's art school. These were wonderful moments, the paintings inspired me a lot and making my mood nice, and on one of these days, I decided that I definitely want to become an artist. I really love music because my parents are musicians but, the visual arts very attracts me and help to open my feelings.

What kind of an artist do you ultimately see yourself?

I see myself as a free artist who paints how feels and how wants, who has her own rules but who respects the opinions of others.

What are you hoping to communicate to the viewer through your work?

In my artworks, I want to show the language of flowers. Them energy, soul, smell, beauties. I Want to show how I love them, how they can make us happy.

But as everything in the world is the cycle, coming and going, flowers cannot stay forever on all seasons and I want to put them conversation with us on canvas. With movement brushstrokes, I want to show the mix of energy, emotions, feelings, delight, love, and happiness for a long time.

Can you explain the process of creating your work?

I love in the process of painting to be alone in the studio.  I rarely turn on music because I like to immerse myself in the process and focus on the pleasure of painting without distraction.  I have chosen for myself at the moment linen, acrylic, and brushes, but I am open to experiments and love different materials.

What is your favorite part of the creative process?

I have a few favorite parts. The first, part  its a calming and silent dialogue. I sit in front of the canvas and see how clean it is and that soon there will be a floral story on it. The second part is a process of painting because its giving me big pleasure and I enjoy that. And the third part is when I show my new artwork to people and see that they accept and like it.

Can you give us an insight into current projects and inspiration, or what we can look forward to from you in the near future?

I like very much to paint on big sizes but for the moment I'm renovating in the studio. And in the future when it will be done I hope to show my new artworks not only in small and middle sizes but also on very big sizes
