Michael Mutschler
Biography
Michael Mutschler (*1947 in Heilbronn) is a German artist who has become known in recent years for his contemporary expressionist paintings and sculptures (exhibitions in New York, Paris, Köln, upcoming in Tokyo, Dresden). His pictorial works span a wide cosmos of political and psychological levels of reference. Michael has been marketing his images very successfully on Social media that link to and comment on his picture stories, which tell of love between (old) people, of anger and despair, of refuge and death, but also of dance and sexuality. The current pandemic shows his art more up-to-date than ever.
The global crisis provoked him to paint a new series of artworks that masterfully interpret the overwhelming despair, fear and loneliness we’re affecting. But also sublime revolutionary acts.
