Artist Statement

I love to experiment and improvise with colours, shapes, and/or textures. My work is created intuitively, or from memory without specific reference material. Each work is an exploration utilizing varied approaches or materials which might include paint, collage, found objects, or whatever I think will best achieve the effect I am trying to accomplish.

Autumn Evening Glow, 2023, acrylic on canvas, 30x61

My painting tools will also vary, from large palette knives or brushes to other non-traditional tools mixing the colours and textures right on the canvas which creates unusual results.
