Interview with Julieta Tawil
Julieta, can you take us back to the beginning of your art journey? What sparked your initial interest in art, and how did you decide to pursue it as a career?
My journey into art began at a very young age, deeply influenced by my surroundings and my mother, who was an exceptional artist. Watching her create and express herself through various mediums sparked my initial interest in art. The decision to pursue it as a career came naturally as I found immense joy and fulfillment in creating art. Over time, I realized that this was my true calling, a path where I could merge my passion with my professional aspirations.
Your background as an industrial designer seems to influence your art profoundly. How do your experiences in industrial design and plastic arts intersect in your creative process?
My background in industrial design has profoundly shaped my approach to art. The principles of design, such as functionality, structure, and aesthetics, intersect seamlessly with my work in plastic arts. Held at the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, this award underscored the importance of scientific and artistic integration, much like da Vinci's own work. The recognition brought a new level of exposure and credibility, opening doors to new opportunities and collaborations that I had not previously considered.
Both awards have significantly impacted my artistic journey by providing a broader platform to showcase my work and connecting me with a global network of artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts. They have inspired me to push the boundaries of my creativity even further, knowing that my efforts are appreciated and celebrated on an international scale.
