Biography

Based in Fukuoka, Japan, acting world widely. Kaori holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Linguistics. Her artistic journey began in 2018 when she discovered her passion for painting through volunteering with henna art in Fukuoka.

This transformative experience filled her soul and led her to explore the meaning of life through art.
She started using a brush pen, similar to henna’s line, known for its delicate yet bold lines, which became her trademark.

Kaori's career highlights include starting as a contemporary artist with a digital exhibition at Swiss Art Expo in 2019, participating in an exhibition by art critics in Rome in 2021, and receiving the prestigious Hermes International High Award from the Accademia Italia arte nel monde association in Italy.
She held her first solo exhibition in November 2022 and another at Daimaru Department store Fukuoka in 2024.

Believing that art transcends borders, Kaori has participated in international exhibitions across the globe, including New York, Miami, India, the Netherlands, Turkey, Italy, and China. In 2022, she was appointed Japanese brand ambassador for a gallery in Georgia, embarking on a world tour spanning 30 countries.

Known for her delicate lines and vibrant colors, her art captures fleeting moments of the heart, conveying deep emotions through simple yet powerful imagery. Her works have been internationally recognized, and her future activities continue to be highly anticipated by collectors and art enthusiasts alike.

Artist Statement

Robert Frost once said:

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

Since childhood, Kaori grew up in an environment where art was always present, influenced by her father who enjoyed oil painting, pottery, and photography. She had a stronger interest in foreign cultures and languages rather than drawing, and spent time in Paris and the UK for short-term language studies. During these experiences, she visited art museums and was profoundly impacted by the historical architecture and the works of Monet and Bernard buffet

In 2018, Kaori began drawing after volunteering with henna art at a local Indian event. This experience filled her soul and led her to explore the meaning of life through art.
Kaori aims to bring new value and meaning to the world with her unique style, triggered by the approachable aesthetic of "cute."

Her works capture fleeting moments of the heart, eternalizing them within her art. Each line is imbued with soul, touching the hearts of those who view her work.
In her creative process, after sketching, she uses a brush pen to draw the main lines and then breathes life into the work with acrylic gouache. To add richness and depth, she uses various media and materials to enhance the expression of her artwork.

Using a brush pen, Kaori breathes life into her creations with delicate lines, vibrant colors, and dynamic shapes. Her distinctive style is known for being unforgettable. The origin of her "Girls Series" is inspired by self-portraits, while her cat works draw from the gestures of a cat she once owned, showcasing an imaginative creativity that only art can achieve.

In 2024, Kaori aims to express the collaboration between AI and humans through art. She generates designs with AI prompts, and then meticulously hand-draws and completes these conceptual pieces.
Transforming even her natural clumsiness into an asset, her style blends tradition and innovation, delivering powerful impacts with empathy, while breaking free from preconceived notions.
