Karla Castillo

Karla Castillo was born in Mexico city 1977. 

She studied Plastic Arts in La Esmeralda and her master in Visual Arts in San Carlos UNAM in Mexico city. 

Actually she lives in Denmark.

Her work’s combine photography, drawing, painting, engraving, sculpture and arquitecture. One of the main subjects on her work has been the forest, where she perceives stillness, beauty, strong and low noises, that can guide you from a pleasant state of mind to a frightening mood. She deconstruct landscapes like the forest, ocean, etc., to create a new way to express the conflict among space, nature and mankind.

She has been participating in some collective exhibitions like'Kunstnernes Påskeudstilling (The Artists Spring Exhibition) - KP Spring 17', Kunsthal Århus, Århus, Denmark, 'Marziart January Exhibition', Marziart Internationale Galerie, Hamburg, Germany., “Flowers” at Adriana Maar, Art consulting & Gallery. 'Tokyo International Art Fair - TIAF17', Hikarie Hall, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan.
