Biography

Roberta CeudeK born in Neaples in 1970.. When she was only 3 y.o. her parents went from the chaotic, colorfull, warm "city where never rain" on the Mediterranean Sea, to the misty, cold northern Italy Milan suburbs. She grew up in a regulary life, attending schools and university, and after working in the Media Relations field, but the sun and the sea spaces and images never escaped from her.

A deep immersion in Reality, that she overcomes composing oniric, dreamlike paintings on canvas and “Photopaintings” (varnish painted details on printed digital photos).

The inattentive heart, 2018, Mixed media on canvas, 90x100 cm

“The artist RK RobertaceudeK represents a complex inner journey through light and shadow, transparencies or mirrors, illusory allusions. Gentle atonal magmatic traces - perhaps arcane symbols, not premeditated, of pure intuition - fall on a vague and indefinite photographic panorama, revealing itself definitively to the observer in a complex and composite digital reworking.

Look me in the eyes!, 2018, Mixed media with plastic details and eye-lens on canvas, 80x120 cm

In this context, the technique of photopainting is the expressive medium that allows the author to explore her own unconscious, and to give immanence to the unspeakable. Her artworks are highly poetic imaginative messages, uninhabited territory, of a post-apocalyptic melancholy,

changing in the light of seasons, sunrises, or impossible sunsets, and in perpetual movement; but perhaps, after the apocalypse, the Final Sentence will announce a new season of innocence. Samuel Beckett, of these admirable sets would say: Nothing is more real than Naught.”

She actually elaborates conceptual frames, to express not only instinctive, abstract perceptions, but rational IDEAS: her visions of people, society and contemporary lifestyle.
