Simone Monney

Beyond meditative serenity, Simone elaborates her canvases like musical compositions. 
Having started her day with meditation, her mind is free and serene. Frank touches of color and unpredictable lines are her first approach on the canvas and suggest delicate interiority but also real vitality. The sounds answer and juxtapose each other, they mix or break apart again. Harmony begins to surface, nourishing the desire to pursue the journey, to travel further in her imagination, way beyond the square borders of the canvas. And then, suddenly, swarms of butterflies swirl, a whirlwind of forms and colors explode in a spray of freshness: Klein blue, Crimson red, London yellow, ignite the canvas with thousands of facets, making it look like a kaleidoscope. Lastly, an overall view informs us that finally all is in its right place for the simple pleasure of the eye.
