Simon Kim

Simon is an illustrator based in Seoul, South Korea.

Since he began his studies in graphic design in university, he took a lot of interests in various visual works. His favorite field was illustration.

After receiving his BA, he worked as a user experience designer for a short time. After, he decided study more in the field he liked and studied abroad in UK. He received his Master's degree in illustration at Kingston University. He started his career as a full time freelancer since 2017 in South Korea.

Simon concentrates on drawing human figures and takes a lot of interest in organic visuals. He focuses on floral patterns and even ornamental visuals. harmonizing them with human figures in various situations. He usually works with traditional inks and stacks the darkness up to make a deep visual. He takes his time when finishing a piece, and sometimes mixes the medium with digital methods as well.
