Aykid Tiger
Biography
Aykid Tiger was born in January 1974. She is a self-taught artist from the Philippines, currently living in Japan. Since childhood, she has always been drawn to artistic creation and more particularly drawing. She explored some of her creativity by trying different techniques like charcoal, indian ink, and pastel in a figurative style. It was in 2010 that she decided to start painting on canvas. In an abstract style, a universe hitherto unknown to her, offering her great freedom of expression and movement. She paints exclusively in acrylics. Her emotions and imagination serves as her guide to create a beautiful masterpiece.
Artist Statement
Original art for me is something spiritual and I truly believe that it can be soul-feeding. If my painting makes you feel a particular emotion... you can know that you're hearing the echo of what was poured into it. Every stroke of the brush and the flow of liquid paint is an outlet for love, peace, and joy. It's artistic therapy and self-expression.
