Artist Statement

"What if you describe your work in three words?"
"immersion, love art, life."
I think I enjoy the "process of immersion" in painting.
Something to be immersed in was desperately and desperately needed.
I want to draw when I see something.
I like Korean things.
It's a hanok-(traditiona) style Korean house,
with an old tree, People, Old stuff, And everything in nature.
All of these are drawn in various materials and techniques.
It's a style of drawing until I like it, and, in some cases, again and again.
After all, what I like may take years, but even after a few years, I must draw it.
My paintings are realistic, but not hyperrealism.
Express it with a bright and warm feeling.
I also like the exact form and beauty.
Painting gives me a lot of comfort.
In a difficult life, work seems to be a friend now. unchanged...
The picture is quite difficult.
"Be humble in front of the picture" is my posture, which seems to be a proper expression for me.
My work is insignificant, but I hope a small part of me will comfort you, too.
