Biography

Theo Golb was born in 1954. He spent the first part of his life in Germany, Lithuania and Ukraine before settling in Canada.
He has a very rich artistic background, having studied history of art, music, languages and linguistic sciences. He worked as an art consultant, as a teacher of arts, languages, and a stage director of a College theater.
Theo Golb have been exhibited in Europe and in North America. His works can be found in private collections around the world.

Artist Statement

In the early years Theo Golb was inspired by Cubism and Suprematism. His style developed along a very long and complex path, ultimately taking its current form at the beginning of the 21st century. His early passion for architecture and music has become increasingly evident in his recent works. The polyphonic principles of Bach music and geometric logic of architecture allow him to create abstract compositions of rare intensity, in which geometry turns fluid, generating its own vibrant reality.
The last years , still looking for the new ways of aesthetic expression, the artist successfully explores digital technologies.
