Biography

Australian photographer Wayne Budge is quickly becoming renown throughout international art circles for his stunning landscape images from around the world, as well as his critically acclaimed black and white portraits of Australian and overseas music icons.
Wayne’s images have been exhibited in his homeland of Australia, as well as Europe and the USA. More recently his works have been shown in cities such as Monte Carlo, New York, Miami, and Los Angeles.

Artist Statement

My love of photography dates back to when I received my first camera at about 12 years of age. Since then, I have wanted to create images that are more than just a photograph, whether it be a landscape, or photographing the portrait of a celebrity.
In a portrait shot, facial expressions and eyes can convey an emotional response, and I try to capture the soul and personality of the celebrity rather than the artist you see on stage. However, it is impossible to obtain emotion in a still subject such as a landscape. In saying this, it is the job and creativity of the photographer to bring an emotion to the forefront of the viewer when capturing images in nature.
