Fatin Rahmouni

Fatin Rahmouni

Biography

Fatin Rahmouni, grew up in an advertising agency in Stuttgart (Germany) and discovered her love for contemporary art at an early age by simply living among creative people from all over the world.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and working as a designer for several years have helped her develop her passion even further.
The monsters are a symbol of what you pretend to be and what you really are. They are the way out of a world where you have to be someone. They give permission to be, who you truly are. They are understanding and forgiveness, courage and joy, sadness and infinity. Defining the monsters is almost as impossible as explaining love. You have to feel it to understand it.

Artist Statement

I see the opportunity to express myself with art, to express my thoughts through colors, as a great gift in a world that is becoming ever faster. Combining the two mediums, paint with canvas, street art with emotion, contemporary art with boldness, it's not just about creating something new. It is also about accompanying art on its long journey through many centuries and being a part of it. Street Art and Contemporary Art is not just a stylistic device or material, it enables the zeitgeist of a generation to be captured and reproduced. Roughness goes hand in hand with tenderness, and there are two sides to each of us humans.
It's a rebellion, a fight. In ourselves, with ourselves and also with society.
It's a rebellion against the superficial, a fight against the norm. An outcry and an announcement. We're still here. And we fight for our right to be seen. And we take everyone on the adventurous journey of life, where you realize that true adventure lies outside of your comfort zone.
