Biography

Gayle Printz picked up her first paintbrush in May of 2020 to bring light back into a world interrupted by the pandemic. She never took a painting class, but Gayle Printz did spend her life surrounded by art. As a child, she attended Interlochen Arts Academy. Printz went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law. By July of 2020, Printz was one of eight American painters whose work was selected by the Jury to participate in The 2020 International Art-Resilience Exhibition in Europe. In August of 2020, Ms. Printz established an Online Art Gallery at www.GaylePrintz.com.

With a painting on Permanent Exhibit in France at Le Musée de Peinture de Saint-Frajou, and a Modern Art Portfolio in which every Printz painting earned one or more of the 575 Juried International Art Awards Printz won in less than two years, Printz has emerged from the pandemic as a World Master Artist considered, “One of the most important Contemporary Artists of our time.” Printz was named an “Important World Master” by Circle Foundation for the Arts and is a recipient of ArtTour International Magazine’s “Sixty World Masters Awards.” Soaring in value on the walls of prominent Art Collectors and Investors, Printz paintings rank among the most sought-after Art Investments in the World.

Using color, flow, three-dimensionality, and texture to express herself, Printz creates paintings that transcend the familiar. There is great meaning in her artworks but because she believes the importance of a work of art is based on the emotion it evokes, Printz will neither define that meaning nor intrude upon your personal interpretation. Gayle Printz wants to give viewers the uninterrupted freedom to feel. She wants you to experience the World in unanticipated ways.

Printz artworks are famous for inviting the viewer in to listen to the whispers of their imagination. Her paintings have a magical quality; they often change depending upon the angle at which you gaze. To this, Ms. Printz simply states, “As with life, the meaning in my work, depends upon the way you look at it.”

By encouraging us to use our imaginations as the lens through which to find personal meaning and universal context in her artworks, Gayle Printz hopes to share their beauty with all viewers open to embarking upon what, for her, has become an inspirational journey.
