Josip Rubes
Biography
I was born in 1942 in Jastrebarsko, Croatia. I'm a retired doctor. In 2012. I graduated in painting at Arthouse in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I have been painting since childhood. I painted landscapes for years. For the 15 years, I have been painting abstractly. I had about 400 joint exhibitions and 80 solo exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. Artist Statement
In 2006. there was a change in my paintings. That's
when I discovered J. Pollock. I used the technique of action painting. After a few years, I paint geometric abstractions. In recent years, I have also been painting abstract expressionism. I bring in a lot of energy, passion and enthusiasm during the process of painting with the hope that the picture will turn out perfectly and that it will evoke a pleasant visual experience, positive emotions, optimism and joy of living in the of a viewer.
