Artist Statement

For over 40 years, I have meticulously drawn, photographed and intuitively more than systematically observed the world of organic structures. Its life force and its unique intelligence unfolding in infinite forms never cease to fascinate me. These forms are reinvented in my imagination in poetic works of beauty or as a window into a metaphysical realm.

Visuals are amazing because they show us the world in a way we all recognize. Others are amazing because they capture the world like we’ve never seen it. My work tends to focus more and more on the second category. Thus, creating a distinct style and identity of my own, which pushes me to diligently work for hours on detailed drawings or series of photographs. Finally, my artworks are an intimate interface between the real and the imagined.
