Wendy Cohen

Biography

Wendy Cohen is a Sydney-based artist who has completed BFA and MFA degrees. She has exhibited at the New York Art Expo, Spectrum Miami, San Diego Art Fair, and The Other Art Fair, Sydney. She also has participated in numerous group in New York and held two man shows in Sydney.

Artist Statement

Wendy Cohen's art practice focuses on the relationship of colour, shapes, lines and forms with the relationship of urban and natural environments communicated in an abstracted language. The primal focus of her practice is to transform the static space of a canvas into a world of variations of textured colours as well as incorporating collage elements. Observation, intuition and imagination are key to her process as she responds to the interconnection of the world.
