Alise Loebelsohn’s painting career can best be described as continuous inspiration and desire to transform surfaces into a new reality. Her work is about the color, patterns and images that randomly appear in nature. She is sensitive to how materials can be used in different ways to create new and undiscovered textures. She tells a story using the images as her language. Figures or abstracted shapes push the edges of the surface using geometry, patterns and light.
