Biography

Since I was a little girl I have been fascinated by nature, and it is still where I find the best peace and most of my photographic subjects.

Nature's value, from the small personal scale to our entire existence on earth is probably the greatest value after all - we MUST take care of it.

Together with my camera I try to capture my own magic by moving the light I find in the surroundings at that moment.
It is what I can create with just the camera that catches me the most with photography.
Photoshop is only used as a darkroom.
I often use one long exposure while moving the camera to create my own poetry.
Sometimes I combine two motifs in one exposure to create a whole new one.
This technique with many variables makes it impossible to repeat the same motif twice, a feature I really appreciate.
By working with abstraction, I also want to give more room for the viewer's own imagination.

I am a Norwegian photographer, who for 25 years has worked as a graphic designer, but retrained as a photographer in 2004-2006 at the Oslo Art School of Photography.
I have exhibited in London, Bologna, Madrid, Gothenburg, Venice, Miami, New York and Norway.
