Biography
From an early age, painting has been an integral part of Sangeeta’s life, shaping her perspective and enriching her experiences. Winning school art competitions fueled her passion, while her parents’ unwavering encouragement inspired her to pursue art with dedication. Over time, painting transformed from a hobby into a profound expression of her identity.

A pivotal moment in her artistic journey was transitioning from realism to abstraction, influenced by artists such as Van Gogh, Rothko, Joan Mitchell, and Picasso. This evolution allowed her to experiment freely with color, texture, and form, weaving narratives that resonate with imagination and emotion.

Her lifelong passion for art led her to some formal training in India and the completion of a Sculpture certificate from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore. Her time at NAFA, in the Sculpture program, nurtured her creativity and broadened her artistic vision.

Sangeeta has exhibited her work in numerous local and international shows, including the Affordable Art Fair. Her painting is featured in the Haegeumgang Theme Museum, South Korea and in private collections across the globe. One of her notable pieces 'A Magical Moment' was set to music by New York composer Margin Alexander.

Artist Statement
I am passionate about creating art that captures the essence of memories, perceptions and nature’s unseen rhythms. My process involves blending colors, shapes and textures to create pieces that blur the boundaries between imagination and reality. My paintings create a space where dreams and emotions intertwine, offering a glimpse into the unseen and intangible.
