Biography

My name is Garry Scott Wheeler and I am a self taught award winning abstract acrylic artist, author and entrepreneur from the Gulf Coast of Florida. I have traveled to over 100 countries seeking inspiration for my paintings. My work was exhibited this year at the M.A.D.S Gallery in Milan, Italy and in the Visual Artists Association Spring Exhibition in London, England. My paintings are on display at the Coco Art Gallery in Estero, Florida, the Five 3 Gallery in Laguna Beach, California, The Dancing Crane in Bradenton, Florida and the DAAS CO-OP Gallery in Fort Myers, Florida.
Fans of my work have told me that looking at my art is comparable to lying on your back, looking up at the clouds and trying to interpret the shapes that you see. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a whole lot of fun to me!
Many of my paintings attempt to capture a dream that I have had. Music plays a key role in conjuring up day dreams, which many times I even have a hard time understanding. Somehow, between my head, heart and hand, I reproduce these dreams on canvas for others to interpret with me.
