Hasti Sardashti
Biography
Hasti Sardashti was born in 1963 in Tehran/Iran. She left her country in 1984 due to the social and political reasons and happened to land in West Berlin in the time when West Berlin was the centre of punks and gay culture in the whole Europe. She had to survive and her main priority became gaining higher education and live a life as an independent Iranian woman. She spend too much of her life to prove herself more than anyone else that she can do it on her own. It has been a long journey for her to be able to revive her creative roots and gain her artist identity, realising that this has been always the meaning of her existence. In the last few years she has been exhibiting more internationally than nationally.
