Josip Rubes
Biography
Josip Rubes, I was born in 1942. I spent my childhood in a idyllic village near Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. I studied painting at Arthouse College of Visual arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I have been painting since I was young. Since I have been painting in abstract style. In recent years, I have been painting geometric abstraction the most. I had 80 solo exhibitions in Croatia. In 2019. I exhibited in Paris. I have won several International Awards.
Artist Statement
I bring a lot of energy into my painting, passion and enthusiasm during the process of painting with hope that the picture will turn out perfectly and that it will evoke a pleasant visual experience, positive emotions, optimism and joy of living in the eyes of a viewer.
