Interview with Lisa Lockett

Lisa Lockett, an American fine art painter, began drawing at the age of five and would later own a design firm that would eventually serve as a catalyst for her art. Lisa uses rich oils and deep layers to convey abstract ideas, moods, and emotions.  The bold lighting and dark contrast she gives to her paintings seem to glide off the surface with fine blending and brilliance.

Gro Heining

At the heart of Heining’s art lies her profound connection to nature, a relationship she nurtures as both muse and collaborator. Each brushstroke and color choice reflects the symbiotic dance between humanity and the natural world. For Heining, nature is not merely a backdrop but a living, breathing entity that infuses her work with vitality and introspection.

In a world where conformity often overshadows individuality, Loretta Pena stands as a testament to the transformative power of art. Her journey, beginning in 2021 as a self-taught artist, encapsulates not only her personal story of healing and growth but also a bold artistic statement that refuses to adhere to conventional boundaries.

Interview with Leo Gesess

The day when my consciousness reached the stage where I could consciously perceive feelings, when I understood that each of my works is born. Each one on its own with its own existence. Born, independent of space and time, to then live an existence detached from goal, time, purpose or content. Connected without being methodical. Without any connexion. In no way predictable and always surprisingly different than expected. Stylishness as a stylistic device.

Interview with Pedro Sousa Louro

My work contributes to anything connected with contemporary modern art, including anyone inspired by my creativity. I'm an artist who has already been perfectly understood, and I want to reference my name and the art I create as a serious career and legacy. I'm not an artist because I have nothing better to do with my life. I'm an artist because I know precisely what I create and the impact that it could have on the public view and the art world.

Christine El Ojeil

The art of Christine El Ojeil is a luminous testament to the power of contemporary expression, a vibrant interplay of color, form, and deep emotional resonance. A Lebanese International multi-award-winning artist currently based in Dubai, Christine’s oeuvre stands as a bridge between personal narrative and universal experience. Her art invites viewers to embark on an introspective journey—a journey marked by beauty, intensity, and profound philosophical inquiry.

Interview with Jorgen Folkersen

My artworks aim to inspire individuals to explore their own emotional landscapes. I believe that art has the power to evoke feelings and provoke thought, encouraging a deeper understanding of oneself. Through my creations, I encourage viewers to embark on a journey of self-discovery and reflection. Therefore, the value of an artwork is primarily created in the mind of the viewer.

Artist Spotlight - Marie-Ghislaine Beauce

Born in France in 1951, I studied life drawing, sculpture, arts history, interior design, painting and was involved in personal creative projects at the National School of Fine Arts in Nantes (South Brittany), greatly influenced by the Bahaus design; for this reason my work is based on abstraction; during my studies I was inspired by Catalan textile artist Grau-Garriga after visiting one of his tapestry exhibitions.

Interview with Mauricio Zuniga

My current work explores the fusion of watercolors and oils while reimagining Mexican historical figures. Studying master artists' techniques led me to notice how murals of Independence and Revolution heroes often follow traditional representations. This observation sparked a desire to reinterpret these iconic figures through contemporary eyes, using cubist and surrealist approaches.

Toyin Ojin Odutola

Toyin Ojin Odutola was born in Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 1985, and later moved with her family to Alabama. In 2007 she was selected to attend the Norfolk Summer Residency for Music and Art at Yale University and continued her studies at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Interview with Catarina Diaz

I'm a London-based analog collage and mixed media artist. My artworks infused with Portuguese soul transcend mediums. By combining realism with surrealism and spirituality, my vibrant colour palette captures London's cosmopolitan life juxtaposed with wild nature motifs. The contrast alludes to the possibility of nature restoring tranquillity to the chaos of the world. My pieces evoke contemplation and, ultimately, a return to blissful memories as the start of a journey of self-healing. I have exhibited in the U.K. and throughout Europe and the United States. My artworks have appeared in British publications such as House & Garden, The World of Interiors and Vogue. As an artist, I relish mixing various media, such as oil-sticks and acrylics on paper, combining them with manual collage. My work can be seen in digital installations, exhibitions and art fairs in London and across Europe, on a Portuguese T.V. show and in British magazines such as 'Tatler', 'Vanity Fair', 'House & Garden', 'The World of Interiors', 'Vogue', 'Artist Talk Magazine' and 'The Flux Review'.
