Biography

Marion Gunesch was born in 1981 and grew up in a German minority in the middle of Transylvania. When she was 8 years old, she moved with her family to Germany.
She studied educational science in Munich, where she obtained a Master of Arts degree. Marion has always been deeply fascinated by other people and their personal aspirations. After 7 years in her job as a human resource development manager, she decided to become the mother of two little children. During this time, painting, which has been her constant companion since she was a child, captured her with full force. She found her form of expression in abstract painting.
She creates her bold abstractions mainly with acrylics and pastels on paper or canvas. These means are ideal for her spontaneous painting style. With mixed media collages, she strengthens the expressiveness of her artworks by playfully integrating transparency and contrast.

Artist Statement

Bringing something beautiful to life, which comes out of my subconscious mind like a miracle, makes me shine. As a result of a strong inner urge, I want to repeat this experience over and over again.
While I am painting, I am transferring my inner energy dynamically and intuitively into a newly created artwork, depicting colors in lively movements and letting them work together. This approach fills me with deep satisfaction and joy.
