All in Painting
Since I was a child I felt trapped in my own tower, full of imagination. I observe the world differently, as a creator, not a simple passenger. Everyday seems to be a different story. I created my own world, where my destiny seats. I can travel with my mind everywhere. Nothing can stop me from following my dreams. In my world, nothing is impossible.
All my paintings come with poems that "read" the paintings. It is not a definition-like reading, but open and alive (hopefully), as all art is. Looking at art is like trying to understand your life through beauty. And I agree: It is the right thing to do. Your individual sense of beauty goes much deeper into the truth than any analysis. Art making and viewing, when done with awareness of how our sense of beauty is responding, is healing, both psychologically and spiritually. It even has an effect on health.
The purpose of my work is to conjure up the perceptions of childhood. The act of painting a picture is, in essence, an innocent and childlike act of blind faith. As children we sensed, with an uncorrupted consciousness, that the universe is infinitely marvelous. When our awareness comes from a place of wonder and discovery, our experience becomes extraordinary.
My works are emotional, intuitive, evocative and passionate. And the statements of my works are different: with some pictures I just want to express a passionate joy in the beauty of life and the beauty of art and celebrate this happiness with gratitude.
When one begins a painting, there are an almost infinite number of possibilities open to the artist thanks to the researches in art of the last century. It seems to me that in this century people are intent on narrowing down the options for the artist until his or her life is made nearly impossible. Art is more than a commodity; for some it is a way of life, for others it gives release from the stresses of the everyday or offers a form of therapy.
My paintings are numbered chronologically to remind us that they constitute a journey and a family. Each painting is a journey or a thought, it is named and commented on. I want each painting to be the repository of beneficial energy.

My name is Ernestine Haidenkummer, I am an Austrian artist and live in the city of Kapfenberg in Styria. In 2006, as a self-taught artist, I discovered my love and passion for painting. I paint everything I like, from abstract to representational, from portraits to erotic pictures and I love painting cubism pictures in my own style and the black and white checkerboard patterns in my pictures have now become recognizable. I am also involved in sculpture construction.

My digital art images reflect my fascination with the beauty of colors and the moods and emotions they evoke. Highly stylized cityscapes and seascapes are subjects I often turn to for their vibrance and dynamic atmospheres. Creative layering of the original photography, colorful elements, rich textures and other effects allow me to add complexity and a depth to my art.
Whatever I see, listen to and feel infiltrates into my inner world and turns up later in my pictures. My wish is to convey joy and happiness to the people or in other words simply to make their life to be more beautiful.
Even in my early works, I was looking for a way to reach all people in the world with my thoughts, which I only managed with a figurative representation, because abstract painting meant Christ and salami with the same image and only confirmed the viewer's world of thoughts. My painting could not be limited to figurative painting but could not be inferior to the freedom of abstract painting. I also considered the surreal style, but it goes far in the direction I want to take people, but not quite there. So, I looked for a solution, which I found in symbolism.
Fine artist Celeste Friesen grew up in Winnipeg, Canada and has lived in various places across Canada and the USA. Following a business career, she located to the north-eastern tip of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is a spectacular setting which provides much inspiration for her paintings.
